Lt. with local ties reassigned
Lt. Michael T. Gerhart Jr. was reassigned from the North Dakota Highway Patrol Headquarters to the Law Enforcement Training Academy as training director Sunday, according to a press release.
Gerhart began his career with the Highway Patrol in May 1992.
Gerhart is a graduate of Northwestern University Traffic Institute's School of Police Staff and Command and holds degrees in business management and business administration from Dickinson State University.
Highway Patrol captain retires
Capt. Scott K. Brand retired from the Highway Patrol Saturday after more than 27 years.
He was stationed as a trooper in Beulah, Center, Bismarck and Fargo. His promotions include: District sergeant, captain, district commander and homeland security coordinator, among others.
Brand was awarded the North Dakota Highway Patrol Meritorious Service Medal for serving with merit and distinction upon his retirement.
