Man killed when truck tractor struck by train
TOLLEY (AP) -- The North Dakota highway patrol says a 20-year-old Mohall man was killed after the truck tractor and grain trailer he was driving was struck by a train.
The patrol says the man was heading from a rural residence to Tolley with a load of canola about 9:30 a.m. and failed to yield to a Northern Plains train with 39 cars at a marked crossing.
The operator signaled with the whistled but the train struck the driver's side of the truck's cab.
The man's name was not released and the crash remains under investigation.
