Mandan’s Berg stays on top in bareback riding

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Mandan cowboy Logan Berg continues to lead the bareback riding after the 11th performance.

Berg, who won the North Dakota state title in bareback riding, posted a first-round ride of 77 points and followed with a 66 in the second round during the National High School Finals Rodeo on Thursday.

The Mandan cowboy leads the bareback average with a score of 143. In the second round, Berg sits in a tie for seventh with Preston Burr of Stratford, Texas.
