Martha met Raymond Adcock at a dance in New Hradec and the two were united in marriage on March 3, 1957. The two made St. Patricks as their church home. She had worked at St. Josephs Hospital for one year prior to beginning a 36 year career at Rogers & Gumpers Clinic.

She belonged to the Art Association, Nurses Association, Rosary Society of New Hradec, St. Patricks Catholic Church, and the Czech Heritage Society.
