McKenzie County plans lockdown at school in Watford City
WATFORD CITY — The McKenzie County School District will simulate an emergency event at the school in Watford City, according to a news release.
Area emergency services and first responders are expected to respond to the incident on Aug. 20 after normal school hours. The simulated emergency event will serve to assess the school’s emergency preparedness plan, which includes a lockdown of the school.
Emergency responders will also be assessed for the event. The simulation will include fake victims, testing police, firefighter and medical staff.
