North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Gary Orluck said the reason for the crash is unknown at this point, but he believes File, 49, was momentarily distracted when her 2013 Hyundai Sedan hit the van.

The van rolled and came to rest facing southwest in the median north of the highway. File's Hyundai came to rest in a ditch on the north side of the highway.

Each of the nine passengers were reported injured in the rollover.

Tavita Farani, of Salt Lake City, and Michael Locke, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, were airlifted from Tioga Medical Center to Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Tyler Bunting, of Grand Junction, Colo., was driven by ambulance from Tioga Medical Center to Trinity Hospital.

File was uninjured in the accident. She faces charges of care required in operating a vehicle.

Ray and Tioga Fire and Rescue and Ambulance assisted in the incident.
