Milnor, Minot Ryan No. 1 in Class B polls

The top-ranked boys and girls Class B basketball teams remained No. 1 the poll.

Milnor — the defending Class B boys state champion — and Minot Ryan — the defending girls champion — lead the polls.

The Bison (10-0) garnered all 16 first-place votes for 160 points. Rugby (9-0) stayed at the No. 2 spot with 139 points, while Cavalier (10-1) and Four Winds-Minnewauken (10-1) are tied for the No. 3 spot with 117.

Hazen (9-1) remained as the lone Region 7 team in the top 10 at the No. 8 spot, while New England (7-0) garnered votes.

On the girls side, Minot Ryan (7-0) received all 15 first-place votes for 150 points.

Beach (5-0) stayed at the No. 3 spot for the fifth straight week. The Buccaneers defeated New Town (5-2), which also received votes in the latest poll, 60-46.
