Minot man killed in plane crash near Surrey
A Minot man was killed when a small plane crashed into a row of trees about four miles southeast of the Ward County community of Surrey.
The Highway Patrol says the plane went down at about 6 p.m. Sunday.
A 47-year-old Minot man died in the crash. The pilot was a 43-year-old Esmond man. He was taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot, and his condition wasn't immediately known.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Pat Hudson says officials are investigating where the flight began and where the plane was going.
