Sgt. Dustin Dassinger of the Dickinson Police Department said a 2004 white Chevrolet Cavalier four-door belonging to Katrina Leland of Dickinson was reported stolen from the Dan's Supermarket parking lot in east Dickinson.

Tamra Leland reported the alleged theft.

"I believe she (Tamra) went up there to check on the vehicle and was going to move it," Dassinger said.

Dassinger said a DPD report cites Katrina Leland as claiming to have the only key for the vehicle, which is presently in the property of the Southwest Multi County Correction Center.

Dassinger said the vehicle was found sometime Wednesday morning in the Prairie Hills Mall parking lot near where vehicles were parked for the carnival.
