Victim, suspects named in Bowman motel homicide

Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood sweep Beulah Class B consolation semis

MINOT — Callie Carlson had a double-double in leading Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-20 sweep over Beulah during consolation semifinals in the North Dakota Class B state volleyball tournament on Friday at the Minot State Dome.

Carlson paced MLS with 12 kills and 21 digs. Shania Brackenburg had 29 assists. Alexandra Mott added eight kills and two blocks, while Sierra Smith supplied six kills and one ace.

Beulah’s offense was led by Jaime Murschel, who had 12 kills, two blocks and two aces. Delaney Johansen added seven kills and 19 digs, while Lakin Kessler dished out 28 assists and three aces. Nicole Schramm had eight kills and one block.

Beulah rounds out the tournament against Grant County for the seventh place game at 9 a.m. today.
