National sheep improvement webinars set

FARGO — The North Dakota State University Extension Service is organizing a webinar series in May and June on the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP).

The NSIP is a quantitative genetic selection tool designed to help sheep and goat producers make good breeding decisions, according to NDSU Extension sheep specialist Reid Redden, who is organizing the hour-long webinars, which will be held at 6 p.m. every Thursday in May and June 5. Christopher Schauer, the director of NDSU’s Hettinger Research Extension Center, will lead the May 29 webinar on entering and submitting data.

Dustin Monke

Monke came to The Dickinson Press in July 2006 as the newspaper's sports editor and was hired as its managing editor in March 2013. During his tenure at The Press, Monke has won multiple awards for sports reporting, feature reporting, column writing, page design and photography.
