Natural gas service disruption in southeast Dickinson
Approximately 165 natural gas customers in southeast Dickinson experienced a disruption in service Friday to allow Montana-Dakota Utilities personnel to repair a leak on a six-inch pipeline in the area.
Crews were on site and started digging about 10:30 a.m to reach the leaking pipeline. Repairs extended into the evening, according to a press release.
Montana-Dakota personnel were expected to go door-to-door to relight pilots and restore service for each customer. Relighting took approximately three hours.
Customers affected by the disruption were located in an area east of Fifth Avenue Southeast and south of Villard Street.
Updates will be posted to the Montana-Dakota Facebook page at www.facebook.com/montanadakotautilities.
