Burgum signs bill allowing concealed firearms to be carried without a permit

BISMARCK (AP) -- North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has won his first campaign for the post, beating Democratic challenger Merle Boucher.

With 33 percent of precincts reporting, Goehring had 69 percent of the vote and Boucher 31 percent.

Goehring is the only statewide officeholder up for election who is not an incumbent.
