No. 5-ranked Oak Grove uses 2nd half to top Titans

BISMARCK — The Dickinson Trinity boys basketball team finished the first 16 minutes tied with No. 5-ranked Fargo Oak Grove.

However, the Grovers spent the next 16 minutes leaving the Titans in the dust.

Oak Grove outscored Trinity 36-20 in the second half en route to a 64-48 win during Shiloh Christian’s New Year’s Invite on Friday.

At halftime, the score was tied at 28.

The Grovers (7-0) had four players in double figures as Nick Card had a game-high 17 points. Austin Promersberger posted 13 points, while Christian Adams added 12. Carter Kretchman supplied 10.

Cole Wilhelmi had a team-high 11 points for the Titans (3-3), while Brett Mortenson had 10.

Trinity continues play in Shiloh Christian’s New Year’s Invite play Bismarck JV at 11 a.m. today.
