No travel advisory extended
The North Dakota Department of Transportation is extending a no travel advisory to include all highways south and east of the Devils Lake area and in the following areas: Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Carrington, Cooperstown, Hillsboro, Jamestown, Valley City, Fargo, Napoleon, Edgeley, Ellendale, Lisbon and Wahpeton.
This includes: I-29 from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border; U.S. 2 from Churches Ferry to Grand Forks; Highway 281 from Churches Ferry to the South Dakota Border.
Highway 13 is blocked approximately a mile west of Kulm, according to the DOT. Interstate 94 remains closed from Jamestown to Fargo due to blowing and drifting snow and zero visibility.
snow with blowing snow is reducing visibility creating hazardous driving conditions. Motorists are cautioned to be alert for heavy drifts at structures and sheltered areas, according to the DOT. Highway 11 is blocked 18 miles east of Ashley and Highway 46 is blocked 2 miles east of Litchville, according to a press release issued at 10:10 this morning. Both highways are blocked with snow drifts.
