North Dakota DOT announces detour, construction projects
BISMARCK — The North Dakota Department of Transportation will begin working on two highways next week.
Motorists traveling on Highway 23 will be detoured to a temporary paved roadway about a mile east of Watford City beginning Monday, according to a press release. The detour, which is about 1½ miles long, is part of the southeast Watford City Bypass project, which should be completed this fall. Speeds will be reduced to 25 mph.
Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway as well as construction workers. Drivers may also experience delays.
