FARGO -- Business travelers now have an efficient way to get from Fargo to western North Dakota.

The Fargo Jet Center has launched a private aircraft shuttle service to Williston, Minot and Dickinson. Same-day, round-trip airfare ranges from $675 to $875 per passenger.

Darren Hall, the jet center's vice president for marketing, said the demand for flights from Fargo to oil country has increased over the past year. The shuttle service gives travelers the ability to book a seat on a plane rather than the entire aircraft.

Initially the goal was to target workers in the construction areas, Hall said. However, Jet Center representatives are finding out that people in industries such as information technology and finance also need to make trips to western North Dakota, he said.

Williston Mayor Ward Koeser said there are quite a few Fargo companies doing business in Williston that will benefit from the new flights.

"For them to be able to come out for the day and go back for $900, they will probably see that as a positive," Koeser said.

Most Williston residents will probably continue to drive when they visit Fargo, Koeser said.

To schedule a flight or for more information, visit fargojet.com/shuttle or call 701-373-8816. One-way airfare is available for $500.
