Perkins impresses again with rock song

Kat Perkins continued to impress on "The Voice" during Monday night's live performances.

The Scranton native who now lives in the Twin Cities sang "Magic Man" by the band Heart, drawing strong reviews from the coaches. It was her second straight classic rock song, which impressed her coach, Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine.

"It's impossible to sing these songs and, honestly, you do it with the same power and charisma and efficiency and soul that all these guys did it with," Levine said. "It's mind blowing."

Country star Blake Shelton called Perkins "a rock star." R&B icon Usher said Perkins has "what it takes to be on radio right now."

Two of the 12 contestants who sang Monday will be eliminated during tonight's episode, which starts at 7 p.m. on NBC.
