Corps denies easement to complete Dakota Access Pipeline construction in ND

* Conflicting stories led to the arrest of James Nelson Nottingham III for burglary and trespassing, Dickinson Police Department Sgt. Kylan Klauzer said. The 40-year-old Minot man claimed he was trying to contact the occupants of an east Dickinson home on Friday morning. The residents say Nottingham fought and was belligerent.

* A 21-year-old Wyoming man was arrested Friday afternoon for allegedly stealing about $80 worth of merchandise from Runnings, Klauzer said. Zzayn Richards of Casper, Wyo., was allegedly caught on video surveillance at the farm and fleet store in north Dickinson, when confronted by police Richards ran out of the store, adding a charge of resisting arrest.

*  Police were called to fight in southwest Dickinson on Friday evening where they arrested 44-year-old Juan Silva-Garcia, Klauzer said. Individuals at the residence did not wish to press charges, but Silva-Garcia allegedly spit on an officer when being taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. He is official charged with the simple assault of an officer, and could face further charges from the Stark County State’s Attorney’s Office.

*  Joshua Jorde, 29, Dickinson, was arrested for violating a domestic violence protection order in southeast Dickinson on Friday night.
