A man with a history of trespassing at the Travel Inn was arrested for criminal trespassing Saturday afternoon.

“It had been going on for a while, apparently,” he said. “Officers had kind of been dealing with him.”

Hedstrom, 39, was taken to jail but was able to bond out. He will appear in court at a later date.

Man arrested after

hit-and-run accident

Officers arrested a Dickinson man following a hit-and-run accident Saturday morning near the 900 block of 14th Street East.

Man cited for disorderly conduct after fight over music

A Dickinson man was cited for disorderly conduct Sunday evening following an altercation with another man at a residence near the first block of Fifth Avenue Southeast.

Jeffrey Collingwood, 39, alleges he was in the basement of the house with his sleeping girlfriend when a car drove up playing loud music. He told officers he went outside to tell the driver to turn the music down, but when the driver gave Collingwood some attitude and sucker-punched him in the jaw. Collingwood retaliated, hitting the driver in the face.

The alleged victim told police he never touched Collingwood and never had a chance to hit back or defend himself. The unnamed man had a large gash above his left eye.

Because Collingwood is a Dickinson resident, he was cited and released but will have to appear in court for the incident.
