Police searching for man alleged of stabbing acquaintance
An early Sunday morning altercation resulted in a 31-year-old Dickinson man being stabbed by his acquaintance, 28-year-old Timothy Leroy Sumpter, according to a report by the Dickinson Police Department.
At about 2:14 a.m. Sunday, the DPD responded to the 600 block of Villard Street East in reference to an assault.
Sumpter fled the scene on foot prior to police arriving at the residence. Officers conducted a search of the area but were unsuccessful in locating him.
The victim, whose name was not identified, was transported and admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center.
Sumpter is still at large and is being sought by authorities for questioning. The public is not believed to be in any danger at this time. The case is under investigation.
