Police searching for man alleged of stabbing acquaintance

An early Sunday morning altercation resulted in a 31-year-old Dickinson man being stabbed by his acquaintance, 28-year-old Timothy Leroy Sumpter, according to a report by the Dickinson Police Department.

At about 2:14 a.m. Sunday, the DPD responded to the 600 block of Villard Street East in reference to an assault.

Sumpter fled the scene on foot prior to police arriving at the residence. Officers conducted a search of the area but were unsuccessful in locating him.
