Portions of SW ND under flood watch today; high wind watch Tuesday
Areas across southwest North Dakota are under a flood watch today and high wind picks up Tuesday, leading to a high wind watch, according to the National Weather Service.
Wind gusts up to 55 mph are possible Tuesday and those working building levees and dikes to help fight flooding are reminded of possible high waves and windy conditions, according to the service.
Dickinson, Medora, Hettinger and Bowman are among the cities under a high wind watch Tuesday.
Rain is expected throughout the day and Adams, Billings, Bowman, Dunn, Golden Valley, Hettinger, Slope and Stark counties are among the many areas under a flood watch through Tuesday, according to the service.
