PSC to hold hearing on pipeline in Dickinson

The North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold a hearing in Dickinson on Monday on a proposed 20-mile crude oil pipeline.

Belle Fourche Pipeline Company applied for the 10-inch pipeline, would cross through Billings, Stark and Dunn counties. The pipeline, routed alongside an existing line, would increase system capacity by 100,000 barrels a day.

The $7.9 million project is needed for transporting oil to Dickinson’s Dakota Prairie Refining facility, or for oil to get to rail for shipment to the coasts, according to the PSC.

The hearing is 9 a.m. Monday at Dickinson State University’s Student Center, Ballroom B.
