Richard "Dick" Hlebichuk was born on August 18, 1936 to Peter J. and Olga (Osadchuck) Hlebichuk in Dickinson, North Dakota.

As a young child Richard worked on a ranch in Medora, breaking horses, brandings and round-ups where he attended school and graduated from Medora High School on November 4, 1955. He entered into the United States Navy and served on the USS Oak Hill; upon discharge from the Navy, he came home and married the love of his life, Carol Ann Kirkpatrick, on March 1, 1958 of Sentinel Butte, North Dakota; they celebrated 46 years together. Carol predeceased Richard on February 21, 2004.

Richard worked for Bankers Life and Casualty Ins. Co., for 25+ years while enjoying gardening, restoring furniture, boating and crabbing on their restored boat the "Ryan D". Upon retirement he and Carol moved to Wenatchee, Washington and purchased J & C Coin where they worked side-by-side buying and selling coins and other collectibles. From Wenatchee they went off on another adventure to Sequim, Washington for a couple of years and then to their final destination in Apache Junction, Arizona in 2002.

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Ronee Lynn Carns (David Carns, husband) and BonniLee H. Ball of Fall City, Washington and four grandchildren, Ryan D. Carns, BreeAnn Carns, Danielle L. Ball and Dylan J. Ball and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Kirkpatrick, his parents and three sisters, Ruth Grudniewski, Martha Shakelford and Elizabeth Morel.

A private family celebration is planned.
