Saints edge Blue Hawks in season finale

HELENA, Mont. — The Dickinson State women’s basketball team had a tough season and battled through emotional adversity from the start.

The Blue Hawks found themselves battling again from a 41-32 halftime deficit in its season finale at Carroll College, but couldn’t clinch its final win. The Saints won 70-68 in a Frontier Conference game Friday night.

Senior guard Mariah Duran finished with 18 points and a game-high six rebounds, sophomore Ta’Ricka Linzy had 14, six assists and three steals and Ja’Lisa Gatlin recorded 12 points, five rebounds and two steals.

The Blue Hawks will not contend in the Frontier Conference Tournament and finished 14-16 overall and 4-11 in the conference.
