Salstrom takes position in Obama administration
After three years working as a press secretary for Congressman Earl Pomeroy, Sandra Salstrom has taken a job in the Obama administration.
"This is a wonderful career opportunity for her and she had my full support when the position became available," Pomeroy said in an e-mail, Monday.
Salstrom, who is originally from Woodstock, Ga., began Monday as the public affairs specialist for taxes and budget, economic policy and The Recovery Act.
"I was on Capital Hill and now we're right next door to the White House," Salstrom said, Tuesday. "I never could have gotten this job without everything I learned and did in Congressman Pomeroy's office."
Her new position keeps her busy and she is enjoying it, she said.
"It was such a great experience working for Congressman Pomeroy," Salstrom said. "I'm excited about the new opportunity, but really going to miss North Dakota."
