Senior U.S. Defense official confirms active shooter incident at Fort Hood In Texas
AUSTIN, Texas - A gunman opened fire in the Fort Hood Army base area in central Texas on Wednesday, injuring an unknown number of people, police said, and the base has issued a shelter in place order for all personnel on post.
The base was the scene of a shooting rampage in 2009 where a former Army psychiatrist killed 13 people and wounded 32 others.
