Sex offender moves to Dickinson
DICKINSON - The Dickinson Police Department is reporting a high-risk sex offender moved to town on Friday.
Ronald Jacob Reineke Jr., 31, is currently residing at 1104 Third Avenue West, Apt. 31, in Dickinson.
Reineke was convicted of gross sexual imposition involving a child in Burleigh County on April 14, 2002. He is currently under the supervision of North Dakota Parole and Probation.
Reineke is described as being a white male, 5-foot-7 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.
In a public notification news release provided by the police department Friday, it states Reineke is not wanted by the police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification of Reineke's whereabouts is not intended to increase fear in the community. It is the belief of the Dickinson Police Department that an informed public is a safer public.
The release further states neither the Dickinson Police Department, nor the probation or parole agent supervising the offender has control over where Reineke chooses to reside, work, socialize or go to school unless the court has deemed it necessary to place restrictions on the offender's movements.
Through an investigatory process, the Dickinson Police Department has compiled information about Reineke and through an analysis of this information, has determined him to be a high risk offender.
