Southwest ND saw as much as 3 inches of rain Monday night
Parts of southwest North Dakota received anywhere from a 1¾ to 3 inches of rain throughout Monday night and early Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service said.
The Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport south of Dickinson recorded 1.77 inches of rain while Doppler radar estimates had the city at 1.86 inches.
Belfield received as much as 2¼ inches while areas north of Killdeer received 2½ to 3 inches. Rural Dunn County areas west of Marshall and south of Manning also had up to 2½ inches.
“The heaviest rain was up northeast of Killdeer from Halliday to Little Missouri State Park,” meteorologist Ken Simosko said.
