Stark Co. asks for voluntary road shutdown
Because of large amount of rain fall in Stark County on Friday and again Monday, the Stark County Road Department is asking for a voluntary shutdown of heavy hauling on gravel roads, said Al Heiser, Stark County road superintendent.
On Friday the National Weather Service out of Bismarck recorded 2.39 inches of rain at the Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport. As of 2:30 p.m. Monday .8 inches were recorded.
Heiser asks that any heavy hauling on the county's gravel roads be kept to essential services, like those that keep oil rigs operational.
