State Rep. Kelsh arrested on suspicion of DUI
FARGO – North Dakota state Rep. Scot Kelsh, D-Fargo, was arrested Monday night by the North Dakota State Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Capt. Bryan Niewind said Kelsh, 51, was arrested on Interstate 29 about 11:30 p.m.
Kelsh, a 63rd District representative, has been in the Legislature since 1996. His family has served in the Legislature for decades, and Kelsh is a third-generation legislative member.
He voted to pass more stringent DUI laws in the last session.
Kelsh said he could not comment at this time on the advice of his attorney.
