Teenager airlifted after rollover near Lisbon

LISBON – Two teenagers were injured in a rollover crash south of here on Saturday.

A 17-year-old male, from Sheldon, N.D., was driving eastbound on 71st Street SE, a gravel road, when he lost control of the vehicle around 3:30 p.m., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The car entered the ditch, went through a fence and overturned in a ravine.

A 16-year-old female passenger was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said. She was later airlifted to a Fargo hospital.

The driver was wearing his seat belt and was transported to Lisbon Area Health Services. The crash remains under investigation.
