Tornado touches down south of Richardton
A tornado touched down south of Richardton at about 4:20 this afternoon, Stark County Emergency Manager Bill Fahlsing confirmed.
No injuries were reported and the only report of damage was a roof that was torn off of a barn, he said. Residents also reported golf-ball and quarter-size hail.
There were reported power outages as far as 12 miles south of Richardton and Montana-Dakota Utilities was headed to the scene at about 4:30 p.m., Fahlsing said.
Stark County Emergency Management is keeping an eye on the situation.
"All citizens should continue to monitor local media for any possible changes in the weather," Fahlsing said.
