UND to get $9.9 million for new biz school, energy complex
GRAND FORKS -- The University of North Dakota is expected to get a total of $9.9 million for a new business school building and an energy research complex, the UND Foundation said Friday.
Of that amount, $6.6 million will be from donations and $3.3 million will be from matching state funds.
The Legislature approved last year the North Dakota Education Challenge Fund, which matches $1 for every $2 raised by university foundations.
“It has been a great tool to add to our fundraising toolbox and I’m confident that we will have no problem securing the full $20 million in private donations necessary to obtain our $10 million share of the state matching fund,” said foundation CEO DeAnna Carlson Zink.
