UND names Pattyn captain for next season

GRAND FORKS — The General now has another title — captain.

In a largely anticipated move, senior-to-be Stephane Pattyn was named captain of next season’s University of North Dakota men’s hockey team on Monday.

Pattyn, a forward from Ste. Anne, Man., was an alternate captain last season and will take over captain duties from graduated defenseman Dillon Simpson.

UND’s alternate captains will be seniors Michael Parks, Mark MacMillan and Connor Gaarder.
