Update: Billings County sheriff says Tuesday incident north of Belfield under control
A Tuesday incident seven miles north of Belfield is under control, but the Billings County Sheriff's Department will not release much information about what happened over a 12-hour period.
The incident is under investigation, Chief Deputy Pat Rummel said. The BCSD, Stark County Sheriff's Office, Dickinson Police Department Southwest Tactical Team, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Billings County Ambulance and Belfield Ambulance responded to the scene.
All parties are accounted for, he said, adding the Bureau of Criminal Investigation is also reviewing the case. He would not comment on what happened or who was involved.
"Until the attorney general's office, the BCI, gets done with the criminal investigation, we can't really say too much about it," he said.
The public is not in danger and the person at the residence was not involved, he added.
