Update: Mississippi native identified as shooting suspect killed

A 31-year-old Mississippi man native living in southwest North Dakota was identified Monday as the suspect shot by a Dickinson police officer on Saturday evening.

Timothy Ray Bowling initially led an officer on a high-speed pursuit through a residential area in a stolen Dodge pickup. He eventually abandoned the vehicle in the neighborhood and fled on foot. He was shot after the Southwest Tactical Team and other officers located him in a residence.
