Williston man dies in collision on icy Highway 85
A 35-year-old Williston man was killed Sunday night after losing control of the car he was driving on icy Highway 85 near Arnegard, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Franklin A. Mundo was traveling westbound toward Arnegard when he lost control of the 1998 Ford Taurus he was driving and slid sideways into westbound traffic.
Lyle S. Sasse, 43, of Vancouver, Wash., was driving a 2011 Ford pickup and struck the Taurus squarely on the passenger side, causing significant enough impact to kill Mundo. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries.
