Wolf named NSIC women's track athlete of week
BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Dickinson native Dakota Wolf was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's indoor track athlete of the week after posting one of the best times in the nation while setting a University of Mary record in the mile propelled Dakota Wolf to honors.
The junior clocked a time of 4 minutes, 47.23 seconds in the mile, setting a school record and automatically qualifying for the NCAA Division II national indoor championships. Currently Wolf owns the second-best time in the nation in the mile.
The cross country All-American also posted a provisional qualifying time in the 800-meter run at the Montana State Open in Bozeman, Mont., on Jan. 27 with a blistering time of 2:15.25.
