Work begins on Hwy. 8 near Halliday
Construction has begun on Highway 8 north of Halliday, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
Traffic will be temporarily detoured to a temporary bypass nine miles north of the town due to slide repair work along the road. Speeds will be reduced to 25 mph, and width restriction is at 12 feet. Flaggers will be present and oil may be present on the roadway. Minimal delays are expected.
