Wyoming man killed, driver charged with DUI in rollover near Hebron
HEBRON -- A 26-year-old Wyoming man was killed Wednesday and two were injured in a drunk driving accident on a county round in northeast Stark County, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported.
Spencer Glen Rae of Lyman, Wyo., was killed after a vehicle driven by Wayne M. Paul, 53, of Aiken, S.C., lost control of a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup while negotiating a curve as he drove along a gravel county road one mile west and a half-mile north of Hebron on Wednesday.
The pickup entered the west ditch and overturned. Rae was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Pauli sustained unknown injuries and was charged with driving under the influence in the rollover that happened at about 7:35 p.m.
Another passenger, Brett Byrd, 23, of Decatur, Ala., was also injured. Both Byrd and Pauli were transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, where they were treated.
No one in the vehicle was wearing restraints, according to the highway patrol accident report.
