Pipeline leak causes spill in Bottineau County creek
MOHALL -- A leaking pipeline caused 250 barrels, or 10,500 gallons, of brine to spill and affect the soil and surface water of West Cutbank Creek near here.
The North Dakota Department of Health said it was notified of the spill Wednesday about three miles northeast of Mohall in Bottineau County.
The pipeline is owned by Enduro Operating. Cleanup of the soil and removal of salt-impacted water in the creek are underway. Health officials will work with the company to develop a mitigation plan.
