Letter -- Lawmakers need to know abortion is wrong

To the editor:

This past Jan. 22 was the 35th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion at all stages of pregnancy. Since then nearly 50 million babies have been aborted, a whole generation of men and women who could be productive today.

Hunting a deer out of season costs the hunter over $800, shooting an eagle, breaking their eggs or damaging habitat for any endangered species, such as the spotted owl, are federal crimes punishable by prison and/or large amounts of money. While these are state and federal offenses with considerable costs, an abortionist gets paid to kill a baby.

It is not called murder and no one is penalized because it was made legal by our justice system. How can these judges and lawmakers sleep at night? Have they no conscience?

The biggest argument is “they don’t know when life begins” so it is not called a baby until it’s born. In that case, what is an eagle in the egg called? It sure isn’t a frog.

When a woman becomes pregnant, what does she think she is carrying? Some abortionists may tell her it is just a piece of tissue or has no life, but science and improved technology has proven it is a living child with feelings and movements.

Contact your legislators and congressmen and tell them it is wrong to support abortion. Don’t vote for those who support abortion.

Tell your congressmen to vote for pro-life judges on the Supreme Court to help stop this killing. Get active in pro-life organizations. The future of our nation is up to you.
