A 42-year-old Dickinson woman pleaded not guilty Monday morning in a preliminary hearing on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, hydromorphone.

According to the criminal complaint filed with the court, on or about Dec. 18, 2007, Bonnie Mae Heidecker allegedly delivered approximately five tablets of hydromorphone to a confidential informant for a price of $100. This constitutes a Class A felony.

Stark County State’s Attorney Tom Henning said dydromorphone is a prescription pain medication and has a brand name of Dilaudid. Henning added he does not believe Heidecker had a prescription for the drug and tried to sell it to somebody who also lacked a prescription for the drug.

Thomas Murtha is the court appointed attorney representing Heidecker.

A pretrial hearing has yet to be set.
