The Mass of Christian burial for Stanley S. Wyman, 65, Mott, is at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church, Mott, with, the Rev. Charles Zins and Deacon Ervin Schneider officiating.
Burial is in the Sunnyslope Cemetery, Mott, with full military honors afforded by the Taylor-Skartvedt American Legion Post 171 of Mott.
Special music will be provided by organist Pat Schwartz.
Serving as casket bearers are Kenny Messer, Lyle Frieze, Jason Raab, Andy Raab, Brandon Wyman and Trevor Wyman.
All friends and family are considered honorary bearers.
Stanley passed from this life on Wednesday, April 30, at the West River Regional Medical Center, Hettinger.
Visitation is from 1-7 p.m. today at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.
Visitation continues one hour prior to services on Saturday at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church, Mott.
Stanley Sherwood Wyman was born on Feb. 9, 1943, in Haysprings, Neb., to Archie and Ellen (Moore) Wyman.
At the age of 3, he moved to Mott with his parents.
Stanley attended schools in Mott and Regent, and graduated from Mott Lincoln High School in 1962.
On April 11, 1966, he was united in marriage to Clementine Heck in Belfield.
Stanley worked with the Swindler family in there farming operation for over 48 years, he semi-retired in 2007.
He enlisted into the U.S. Army National Guard on Nov. 18, 1962. Stanley provided over 21 years of service to his country.
He retired from Co A 164th ECB in Mott in 1983.
In his early years, Stanley enjoyed bowling league at the Lucky Lanes in Mott. For many years, he coached bowling and basketball for Special Olympics and was “Coach of the Year” in 1988-1989.
He enjoyed photography and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Clementine, Mott; four sons, Archie Wyman, Dickinson, Thomas (Darlene) Wyman, New Hradec, Randy Wyman, Dickinson, and Peter (Heather) Wyman, Farmington, Minn.; one daughter, Elaine Wyman, Hettinger; two brothers, Richard (Holly) Wyman, Hettinger, and Jack (Kathy) Wyman, Bowman; half-brother, Keith (Betty) Wyman, La Puente, Calif.; one sister, Mary (Dennis) Raab, Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thomas Wyman; half-brother, Norman Wyman; and a half-sister, Joanne Wright.
