DICKINSON - The Stark County Sheriff Department reported on Thursday that two Dickinson residents were arrested for possible drug charges around 9:15 p.m. this past Wednesday.
Sheriff Clarence Tuhy said an officer went to the residence of Bruce Damien, 29, and Melissa Wichlund, 23, on Seventh Avenue West to serve civil papers.
“The officer walked up to the door and smelled the odor of marijuana,” Tuhy said. “They would not let the officer in, so we obtained a search warrant.”
Tuhy said the department worked together with South Sakakawea Narcotics Task Force to search the residence.
Tuhy said about a pound and a half of marijuana, 8-10 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia were found at the residence.
Both Damien and Wichlund were arrested on Wednesday for possession of meth with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“Charges are pending on the individuals that were at the location,” Tuhy said.
He added the incident remains under investigation.
