Hallgren and Bickle have preliminary hearing

DICKINSON - The preliminary hearing for Dickinson’s Micki Hallgren, 36, and Justin Bickle, 19, was held at 2 p.m. this past Monday.

Stark County State’s Attorney Tom Henning said the felony charge Bickle faced was dropped at the hearing.

“I dismissed it in favor of reviewing the evidence because the dates and amounts of the substance were incorrect,” Henning said. “There is no longer any felony charges pending against Justin, but the misdemeanor charges remain in place.”

The class A felony charge that Henning dismissed was conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

“I have the possibility that if, upon further review, I can cure the problems that I found to exist than I can renew the case by refiling it,” Henning said.

The misdemeanor charges that Bickle is still facing are possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Henning did not dismiss the felony charges Hallgren is facing.

“Everything was bound over…which means that the court found probable cause to believe that an offense had been committed and Miss Hallgren had committed them,” Henning said.

Hallgren is facing three felony counts. She has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver and conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Both constitute class A felonies.

She has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The glass smoking device alleged to have been in her possession contained methamphetamine residue.

This constitutes a class C felony.

“The court found probable cause to proceed on all of those,” Henning said.
