The Dickinson Police Department reported Monday morning that two Dickinson residents are being hospitalized due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
According to the police report, Dickinson’s Brian Wagner, 22, was traveling east on Villard Street in Dickinson at about 4:20 p.m. on Sunday. He allegedly tried to make a left turn onto Second Avenue West when his 1987 Mazda collided with a motorcycle that was westbound on Villard Street.
The motorcycle was driven by Gerard Gayda, 49, of Dickinson. Danette Gayda, 49, was a passenger on the motorcycle.
The Gaydas were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson for injuries sustained in the crash.
Gerard Gayda continues to be treated at St. Joe’s. Danette Gayda is reported in fair condition at Bismarck‘s St. Alexius Medical Center, where she is being treated after being transferred there.
The police report estimated the damage of the motorcycle to be about $3,000, while Wagner’s vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000.
Wagner was cited for care required.
