Dickinson's Consolidated is burglarized

The Dickinson Police Department reported Tuesday morning that Dickinson’s Consolidated was burglarized this past weekend.

Investigator Joe Cianni said the break-in apparently occurred this past Sunday evening. He added Consolidated’s cleaning personnel called authorities at about 9:05 p.m. on Sunday to report the incident.

Cianni said someone gained entry to the building through force.

“A glass door in the back was broken to gain entry,” Cianni said. “There was a minor amount of vandalism which occurred inside and a few electronic items were actually stolen.”

Cianni said the missing electronics are worth an estimated $1,500, while the broken door and other vandalism totaled an estimated $800 in damages.

“We have a suspect and a search warrant was served,” Cianni said.

He said the warrant was served on Monday, but would not disclose anymore information about the incident as it is still under investigation.
