Mandaree man dies in rollover

The driver of a white 1997 Chevrolet pickup was killed Tuesday when the vehicle rolled near Killdeer.

The driver of a white 1997 Chevrolet pickup was killed Tuesday when the vehicle rolled near Killdeer.

Dennis J. Youngbear, 44 of Mandaree was driving the vehicle south on Highway 22 at 5:43 p.m. when it went off the road and into the east ditch, according to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The vehicle reportedly rolled and went into a small ravine, coming to rest facing east.

Youngbear was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.

Sgt. Will Vance said no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and added a Killdeer ambulance responded.

The incident is under investigation and no other information was available at press time.
